Dr. Lemuria, Super Genius

MEANWHILE... In the confines of the protected lab a long necked figure sits astride a floating mobility chair. This is Doctor Lexicon Lemuria, the saurian super genius who made the Confluence of Worlds possible with his impossible science expertise and his lack of qualms with experimenting with teenage test subjects. Next to him is one of those super powered teenagers once heralded as the Special Friends, Flare. As far as you can tell, he might be the last one left alive.

Steve

As you contain the threat of the Whammo-Zombie you become aware that many of the corpses drifting in space between you and what remains of Freedom Halls have been converted into the Star Khan's undead Khansouless Warriors. Leading this mine field of the undead is... Steve.

The Massacre of Freedom Halls

The massive space station, Freedom Halls, has been shredded to pieces. The space it once occupied is littered with debris and the corpses of the nine billion aliens from over eight hundred cultures who called Freedom Halls their home. The sheer scale of damage and the unthinkable loss of life is staggering to behold. Unfortunately the solemn moment is quickly shattered as a bubble gum purple and dirty lilac colored missile comes screaming in at high spread on a collision course for your rocket. It is the corpse of Whammoman, reanimated by the dark magics of the Star Khan.

The Conglomerated Sales Associates

Issue 2:15 Triple Threat 2

In the last issue of Vanguard for Victory our heroes traveled to Fight Planet to recover the orange Shakra Crystal that grants its owner the ability to assume the perfect form. Their arrive was met by the equally orange people of Internia, a feudal level society of fruit beings settled upon the ruins of a once vast and technologically advanced civilization. Getting no where with the leader of the Internians, King Randor, the Vanguard instead chose to negotiate with the Conglomerated promoters of  the Fight Planet gladiatorial contests. Through intense contract negotiations and blistering sit downs in mildly uncomfortable chairs Dr. Robot made a deal for the stone without needing to resort to the violence Fight Planet is historically known for. Instead, the Vanguard were treated as honored guests at the games. This allowed for a quiet moment of relaxation in their dire hunt for the stones needed to stop the Collapsar. Now in possession of four of the seven crystals there are only three remaining: Manipura, the yellow crystal of conversion, Ajna, the violet crystal of true understanding and the lost Mula-Dhara, the red crystal of transformation. That means we are gearing up for another...

Khannor Maggloud

The grimy city below you appears to be built upon and out of ruins hundreds if not thousands of years old. As your ship descends a crowd of soot covered orange skinned peasants forms curiously around your landing site. Out of the crowd one bowlegged rotund figure in armor pushes through the crowd.

Amanda Talbot, Super Pregnant

After the brilliant green glow subsides two things are quite clear: Amanda is now surrounded in a visible corona of cosmic energy that allows her to float sever inches off the ground and...

She is clearly several months pregnant with Dr. Robot's Kacra Crystal baby.

Issue 2.14

In the last session of Vanguard for Victory our heroes had liberated the white Kacra Crystal possessing the power over the life, death and consciousness from the evil Star Khan. Using the Ab-Original trickery of Scartax they narrowly avoided a fleet seemingly headed toward the Confluence Protectorate of Special Friends. That is when things got... really weird. In an attempt to properly contain the white stone Adela teleported the entire ship into the Q-System without any clear way out. Stresses of life in cosmic peril finally caught up the the Vanguard as the turned on each other, arguing and questioning loyalities. The psychic projection of Scartax's father appeared, guiding them toward another ship lost in the red void of the Quantum Realm. Unfortunately the ship was filled with zombie pig creatures infected with a new and bizarre strain of Mechanation virus. Saving Eidee Two Oh Nine and destroying the cursed craft the Vanguard came face to face with a bizarre stowaway. Carnoso Gigante, leader of the symbote Luchadors entered the craft with a gift and a message from their old comrade, Ultima Saborosa. She procured for them the green Kacra Crystal of astral awakening. Dr. Robot then did something quite unexpected. He took the stone and pressed it against Amanda Talbot's heart... where it sank into her flesh and engulfed her in brilliant emerald light. At the same time Scartax and Adela pooled their resources and made one last ditch effort to escape the Q-System. Their heroic struggle did not go unnoticed however. As the Comet dematerialized the planet sized mechanical form of the Collapstar appeared on his throne before their tiny craft. On in orbit above Fight Planet in real space the Vanguard must set their sights on recovering the orange Kacra Crystal that grant transcendence and transformation. To earn it they must beat the reigning champion of Fight Planet. Little does the Vanguard know however...

Issue 2.13 The Wraith of Khan

Last time the Vanguard took it upon themselves to sneak away from the wedding reception and teleport across the galaxy to the dead planet of Zultas, capital planet of the Star Imperium and home to the Star Khan himself. Using their ingenuity, quick wits and super powers the Vanguard quickly relinquished the Sacra Stone of Life and Death from the Star Khan and felled the planet. Now, thousand of light years from their closest allies the Vanguard are on the run behind enemy lines. Worse yet the Stone of Life and Death appears to have a desire to consume the life force of everyone on board the Comet. A word of warning before we begin this very special, very dark 13th issue of Victory of Vanguard, beware...

The Star Khan

Issue 2.12 A Trip to Zultas

Last time on Vanguard for Victory our heroes celebrated diplomatic alien nuptials. But all was not champagne cordials and caviar dreams. The black hole created by the nefarious agents of  the Star Khan heralded the arrival of a planet threatening Black Body, otherwise known to our trusty Earthling champions as one of the immortal Zenkai. When the Zenkai named Zathura did emerge from event horizon Meheegan the Space Wolf and Karess the felinoid Black Guard sacrificed their lives to stall her. Only the combined ingenuity and talents of Doctor Robot, The Superunknown and Scartax, Crown Prince of the Moon allowed them to force the godlike alien back through the Black Hole to the Nexus of spacetime from whence she came. With that immediate cosmic threat contained the Vanguard turn their attention to the Southern end of the galaxy, where the dreaded Star Khan plots. Is it time for...

The Blackbody

Defying all laws of physics a humanoid figure wreathed in crackling ultraviolet cosmic energies emerges from the heart of the black hole. even in the vacuum of space you can hear her speak. "Finally," she hisses, "I am free!"

The Sister-in-law

Murmurs ring out throughout the reception. The crowd begins to turn to catch a glimpse of the identity of the latest wedding attendee. There in the throng of parting official guests stands Pteranodonna, Princess Lorik's long lost and extremely estranged low breed sister.

Issue 2.11 Out of the Black

We begin directly after the events of issue 2.10.

The wedding between Dr. Robot (Liam Degrasse) and her royal highness Princess Lorik Nor has taken place.

An attack on the Forbidden Zone perpetuated by the ghostly servants of the Star Khan has been thwarted by an impossible manipulation of a Black Hole by the groom and his best man, Scartax (Crown Prince of the Moon).

With the wedding over, the political union between the Lor and the Earth solidified and a terrorist attack thwarted it is time for everyone to enjoy the most spectacular wedding reception the galaxy has ever seen.

So why is everyone still so paranoid?

Why is this space station's alarm still on high alert?

Is it true that what remains of the Lore Republic fleet is being mobilized?

What do these aliens know that our Vanguard heroes from Earth do not?

Who or what do they fear is still coming…
